Whitney L. LaLonde has joined Whitford Law Offices LLC as an Office Assistant. Whitney is a recent graduate of North Salem High School, where she was involved in cheer, track and orchestra. Her duties will include preparation of exhibits for hearings, organizing records and coordinating distribution of our publication, Employment Law Briefing.

Whitford Law Offices welcomes Kristen Bramble to our employment and labor law team. She is completing her first year of studies at Willamette University College of Law and will be managing our Salem office, conducting legal research and providing administrative support during her summer clerkship. Kristen has a Bachelor of Arts, in Political Science, from the University of Utah. She is stepping in for Brian Best who will be away during the summer months.

We are pleased to announce that Brian J. Best has joined the Whitford Law Offices employment and labor law team, taking the place of Lamarr Carver who has completed his clerkship. Brian will be a second year student at Willamette University College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History, with honors, from Willamette University. Brian will manage the Salem office, conduct legal research and provide administrative support.

Whitford Law Offices LLC welcomes Lemarr E. Carver to the employment and labor law team. Lemarr is a second year law student at Willamette. He will be responsible for legal research, administrative support and managing our Salem office. Lemarr takes the place of James King, who has completed his clerkship.

Julian J. N. Whitford has joined Whitford Law Offices LLC as an Office Assistant. Julian is a junior at North Salem High School, where he plays the tenor saxophone in the marching band and wind ensemble. His responsibilities will include records management and coordinating distribution of our publication, Employment Law Briefing.

Trent Whitford will be presenting management training in Eugene, Oregon, today. The program, "Workplace Harassment: A Leadership Perspective," is designed to help leaders recognize and effectively address harassment in the workplace.

We welcome James King to the employment and labor law team at Whitford Law Offices LLC. James is a second year law student at Willamette. Before enrolling in law school, James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Urban Planning from Miami University and a Masters of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona. He is taking over legal research and office management responsibilities from Kelly Ireland who has completed her clerkship with WLO.

Trent Whitford will begin presenting management training in Roseburg, Oregon, today. The two-day program, "Statutory Leave: Overview for Leaders," is designed to help supervisors and managers effectively administer statutory leave policies and meet compliance obligations under the federal Family & Medical Leave Act and the Oregon Family Leave Act.

Trent Whitford will provide training in Eugene, Oregon, today, as part of a continuing education program for Human Resources professionals, sponsored by Loreman Education Services. Trent will present "Managing Unemployment." The program presents an overview of Employment Department rules and procedures and is designed to assist HR managers to use the unemployment process as an additional resource in approaching discharge issues.

Trent Whitford will discuss wage and hour basics for Employers at the Executive Officer's Club Roundtable today, in Salem Oregon. The discussion will focus on overtime requirements, exemptions from overtime and the rules governing payment of employees' final wages.

We are pleased to welcome Victoria Nguyen to the Whitford Law Offices employment and labor law team. Victoria is a second year student at Willamette University College of Law. She is responsible for legal research, office management, and administrative support in our Salem office. Victoria comes to us with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Leadership and Minor in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Victoria takes over from Matthew Matrisciano who has completed his clerkship and accepted an externship position, working on consumer fraud issues for the Oregon Department of Justice.

Trent Whitford will present a program on Developing and Administering Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policies today at a conference sponsored by the Oregon SHARP Alliance. In addition to legal and practical issues, Trent will also discuss the use of such policies to demonstrate employers' commitment to workplace safety. Trent's presentation of drug and alcohol policies is just one among several different training topics we provide to our clients.

Whitford Law Offices LLC welcomes Matthew Matrisciano to our employment and labor law team. Matthew is in the second year of the joint degree program at Willamette University College of Law and Atkinson School of Management. As the Law Clerk in our Salem office, he will be responsible for legal research, office management and administrative support. Matthew has worked on fraud prevention issues and recently published an article on this topic in Atkinson Management Today.
